Sunderland credited with double winger interest as target opens up on transfer stance - reports

Sunderland have been credited with an interest in Feyenoord star Anis Hadj Moussa

We are still more than a week away from the transfer window officially opening, and already Sunderland have found themselves at the centre of all kinds of speculation in recent days.

The Black Cats have been linked with a whole host of players since sealing their spot in next season’s Europa League last month, and one of the latest names to emerge is that of Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa.

The Algerian international made headlines earlier this week when he scored a stunning goal past Sunderland number one Robin Roefs in a pre-World Cup friendly against the Netherlands, and according to an update from La Gazette du Fennec, there remains a chance that the pair could end up as teammates on Wearside next term.

It is stated that Regis Le Bris’ men are one of several Premier League sides keeping tabs on the 24-year-old - who scored 11 goals and assisted six more across 30 Eredivisie outings this season - with the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Bournemouth also credited with an interest. Further afield, Benfica are understood to be keen too.

What has Anis Hadj Moussa said about his future amid Sunderland interest?

Speaking about his future in a recent interview with continental outlet Algemeen Dagblad, Hadj Moussa himself said: "I'm still under contract with Feyenoord. As long as that's the case, the answer is no. But in life, and therefore also in football, you never know what the future holds. Maybe I'll leave, maybe I'll stay; neither of us knows at the moment.

“I'm open to all options. Maybe Feyenoord wants to sell me, maybe not. We'll see. If I were to leave, I'd prefer to go to England. I think I could also play in Spain with my style of play. Or in France. They're also fantastic footballing nations. But the Premier League is the best league in the world.”

Sunderland credited with Zadok Yohanna interest

Elsewhere, online outlet TEAMtalk claim that Sunderland have made contact over a potential move for Newcastle-linked winger Zadok Yohanna. The 19-year-old is currently on the books at Swedish outfit AIK, and is also said to be garnering interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Brighton, Brentford, and Crystal Palace.
