Sunderland returned to winning ways at the Stadium of Light with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Luton Town.
Goals from Enzo Le Fee and Wilson Isidor either side of the interval proved the difference and though Anthony Patterson made one excellent save from Carlton Morris, the visitors rarely threatened.
Here’s how we rated the Sunderland players...

5. Dennis Cirkin
Combined nicely with Le Fee throughout the first half and got into good areas. Rarely tested defensively against a poor opponent. 6 | Owen Humphreys/PA Wire

6. Dan Neil
Moved the ball nicely and won plenty of duels. In truth it was a comfortable night as Sunderland completely controlled the midfield area. 7 | Getty Images

7. Jobe Bellingham
Not at his best in the first half on his return to the XI but grew into the game and drove into some really good areas in the second. 6 | Mark Thompson/Getty Images Photo: Mark Thompson/Getty Images

8. Chris Rigg
Drew one good save from Kaminski in the first half with a good shot. Lively and got into good areas before going off after needing treatment on a couple of occasions. Hopefully nothing serious. 6 | Chris Rigg vs Norwich City. Photo by Chris Fryatt.
