Sunderland reached the 40-point mark on Tuesday night as they landed a famous win at Elland Road.
An injury-hit squad spent much of the game defending their own box but Habib Diarra’s second-half penalty proved to the difference between the two teams.
Here’s how we rated all of the Black Cats involved on the night...

9. RW - Nilson Angulo
Put in a massive shift for his team. Constantly got back in to defend O’Nien and had some bright moments going forward, just couldn’t find the final ball on one or two occasions - hard to criticise given his physical output. Has all the attributes. 7 | Chris Fryatt

10. LW - Enzo Le Fee
One of those days where he had to put the creative side of his game largely to one side. Defended strongly in front of Hume and didn’t put a foot wrong on that front. 7 | Getty Images

11. ST - Eliezer Mayenda
A touch unfortunate one set piece didn’t drop for him when well placed in the box, but wasn’t able to hold the ball up as well as he did at Bournemouth. Struggled though the service was poor with Sunderland happy to sit in for the most part. 5 | Getty Images

12. Sub - Granit Xhaka
Looked after the ball well late on as you’d expect through the second half. 6 | AFP via Getty Images
