Sunderland were back in Premier League action when they faced Liverpool at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday night.
The Black Cats saw their proud unbeaten home record come to an end after a Habib Diarra own goal in the second half. Here’s how we rated all of the players involved on the night..
5. LB - Reinildo
Thought he was unlucky to be on the losing side. Had the better of his duel with Salah and made some brave blocks. Had a good game. 7 | George Wood/Getty Images
6. CM - Noah Sadiki
Did OK at the base of midfield, though the role does negate from the athleticism he can bring to the game. 5 | Getty Images
7. CM - Enzo Le Fee
Worked hard and played some really nice forward passes, was unlucky on occasions that his team mates couldn’t quite read it on one or two occasions. 6 | Getty Images
8. CM - Habib Diarra
Lost the ball in a couple of dangerous areas and just struggled to impose himself on the game as we know he can. Tough night as Liverpool largely controlled the game. Headed Van Dijk's effort into his own goal but wasn't a huge amount he could do about it, really. 5 | Chris Fryatt
