Sunderland climbed off the foot of the Premier League table with a crucial win over Chelsea.
Enzo Le Fee’s first half penalty was the difference in a hard-fought game. Here’s how we rated all of the Black Cats involved on the day....
5. LB - Reinildo
The game suited him and showed off his very good 1-v-1 defending skills. Superb against Neto and Estevao in the second half. 8 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
6. CM - Granit Xhaka
Was forced off with an injury just minutes into the game after almost immediately signalling to the bench after kick off that he couldn’t continue. N/A | Granit Xhaka. Photo by Chris Fryatt.
7. CM - Noah Sadiki
One of many who looked close to being back to his best here. Covered a ridiculous amount of ground, broke up play and drove into decent areas in first half in particular. 8 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
8. CM - Enzo Le Fee
Took his penalty so well given the pressure and what happened against Arsenal earlier in the season. Didn’t see loads of the ball but grafted so well and was tidy in possession. 7 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
