Sunderland fell to their fourth defeat in a row at Oxford United on Saturday.
Goals from Ben Nelson and Michael Helik either side of half time proved the difference as a much stronger Black Cats side produced a poor performance at the Kassam Stadium. Here’s how we rated the Black Cats...

9. Patrick Roberts
Had one good run towards the end of the first half and an effort blocked shortly before his withdrawal in the second, but never really got into the game. Sunderland were very poor in possession so he saw little of it in space. 4 | Phil Smith

10. Enzo Le Fee
Comfortably Sunderland’s most dangerous player and had one cross headed off the bar by Rigg. Some great touches but was also guilty of some poor giveaways. 5 | Phil Smith

11. Wilson Isidor
Ran clear once early on but Oxford defended well and barely saw the ball throughout the game. A worry that Sunderland just don’t seem to be able to find him at the moment. 4 | Phil Smith

12. Tommy Watson
Couldn’t really impact the game, not helped by the fact that he struggled to keep his footing much of the time. 5 | James Copley
