Sunderland continued their Premier League campaign against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Chemsdine Talbi’s strike looked like it might have secured another famous win for the Black Cats, but Florian Wirtz equalised late on to secure a point for the hosts.
Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved on the night...
1. GK - Robin Roefs
Almost produced a stunning late assist for Isidor. Didn’t have too many saves to make but commanded his box well and was strong from set plays. 7 | Chris Fryatt
2. RWB - Trai Hume
A solid display on his return to the XI, and had one effort pushed onto the bar by Allison. Justified his recall and will likely continue against Manchester City. 7 | Getty Images
3. CB - Nordi Mukiele
Really unlucky to see a shot from Wirtz deflected into the top corner for the equaliser. Defended well and offered an attacking threat early on. 6 | Chris Fryatt
4. CB - Dan Ballard
Stepped out with the ball nicely at times and made some good defensive blocks and clearances. Beaten by some wonderful footwork from Wirtz for the goal but played well. 7 | Getty Images
