Travel, best pubs & bars - Sunderland fan guide to Poznan as Black Cats prepare for latest Europa League test

Sunderland will face Polish champions Lech Poznan in their latest Europa League tie on Thursday evening.

Sunderland fans are making their way to Poland for the latest step in their European adventure as the Black Cats prepare to face Polish champions Lech Poznan in the third game of their Europa League campaign.

After enjoying the delights of Portugal last week as Regis Le Bris’ side claimed a last-gasp win against Torreense thanks to a Noah Sadiki strike, supporters are now making a 1,500 mile trip to Poland as their beloved side take on last season’s Ekstralasa champions. The hosts are yet to pick up a point or score a goal in this season’s Europa League after falling to defeats against Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen and there are high hopes Sunderland can extend that poor start with a win on Thursday night.

Although supporters making the trip to Poznan will be focusing on on-field matters, they will also be looking forward to experiencing another European away day and creating more lifelong memories following their beloved club. The trip to Portugal has already gone down as a memorable trip for supporters of all ages - but what can they expect to see when they arrive in Poznan? We take a look at some vital information for Black Cats’ fans making the trip with the help of the Libero Guide.
