Sunderland were beaten 2-0 by Bournemouth on Sunday to drop further into the Premier League bottom three.
The Black Cats never recovered from a woeful start to the game, in which Evanilson capitalised on two defensive mix ups to assist Marcus Tavernier and force Kevin Danso into making a challenge that earned him a red card. The striker then pounced on a poor backpass to secure the points for the hosts.

9. LM - Chris Rigg
Started in his preferred central role but the early red meant he was never able to get on the ball. Tried to compete in midfield thereafter but had little influence. 5 | Getty Images

10. RM - Trai Hume
Looks a little short on sharpness and confidence. Had to drop almost immediately into right back and did OK but had a couple of difficult moments including one long ball that almost led to a third. 4 | Getty Images

11. ST - Timur Tutierov
Didn’t really have an impact on the game but had no support or service after the early red card. A difficult debut but impossible to criticise in the circumstances. 5 | Chris Fryatt, Echo

12. Sub - Habib Diarra
Didn’t get much sight of goal when brought on up front but worked hard, had a bit of presence about him and put one cross in that should have been turned home. 6
