Sunderland fell to a 2-1 defeat against Bristol City after playing over 80 minutes with ten men.
Trai Hume was shown a hugely controversial early red card for a professional foul, but Eliezer Mayenda scored a sensational individual goal later in the half. Goals from Rob Dickie and Ross McCrorie turned the game around in the second half. Here’s how we rated the Black Cats....
13. Wilson Isidor
Had one header that went wide but didn’t really impact the game. Sunderland couldn’t get much service into him, in fairness. 5 | Wison Isidor - player rating photo by James Copley Photo: Wison Isidor - player rating photo by James Copley
14. Salis Abdul Samed
Made one excellent run through the middle late on. Looks sharper than previously on this return from injury. 6 | Getty Images
15. Alan Browne
Didn't see much of the ball in a right wing role. 6 | Alan Browne - player rating photo by James Copley
16. Joe Anderson
Made one good block but gave away a couple of cheap fouls. 5 | Joe Anderson - player rating photo by James Copley
