More space opened up for Sunderland in the final third there as Pritchard found Clarke on the left but his cross was overhit.

This time Pritchard delivers a low cross from the corner and the ball drops to Evans on the edge of the box.

The midfielder’s shot was powerful and was blocked by Omobamidele in front of the keeper.

40’ Simms and Stewart causing problems

More pressure from Sunderland after Simms’ low ball into the box hit Aarons and allowed Stewart to get a shot off from a tight angle

Krul managed to save it and concede another corner.

37’ Excellent pressing

Sunderland really pressed Norwich into the corner there with Neil, Gooch and Pritchard applying pressure.

Evans then overhit his pass after Sunderland won the ball back.

35’ O’Nien booked

Norwich just threatened to break again there after Clarke gave the ball away.

O’Nien then brought down Sargent near the halfway line and was booked for stopping the counter attack.

32’ Stewart brought down

Ross Stewart didn’t give up the loose ball there after it was played into the left channel.

He managed to get in front of Omobamidele before winning a free-kick on the edge of the box.

Pritchard played the set-piece short for Gooch, whose shot deflected over the bar for another corner.

30’ Hernandez gets away

That is one of the first times Hernandez has managed to get away from O’Nien and run into space on Norwich’s left.

He couldn’t pick out a team-mate with his low cross though.
