There were several changes at Sunderland over the summer transfer window - but how have those who left the club fared since leaving Wearside?
The Black Cats saw a handful of loan players return to their parent clubs, while decisions were made to let other members of the squad leave on permanent deals.
Loan departures were also sanctioned to try and provide more first-team opportunities.
Here are the players who left Sunderland over the summer, either permanently or on loan, and how they’ve fared since.

9. Ross Stewart (Southampton)
The striker is still yet to make his Southampton debut as he recovers from the Achilles injury he suffered playing for Sunderland in January. Stewart, 27, has been back in training and it’s hoped he could make an appearance off the bench following the international break. Photo: Frank Reid

10. Amad (Manchester United)
There was plenty of interest in the Manchester United forward over the summer following his impressive loan spell at Sunderland, yet a knee injury sustained in pre-season quietened talk of a potential move. The 21-year-old has hinted on social media he will be ready to return soon after missing the start of this season. Photo: Ash Donelon

11. Isaac Lihadji (Al-Duhail SC)
While he’d only been at the club for around six months, Sunderland opted to sell Lihadji when they received a good offer from Qatar-based side Al-Duhail SC. The 22-year-old has started two of his side’s first five league games this season, coming off the bench in the other three. Photo: Stu Forster

12. Alex Bass (AFC Wimbledon)
Bass signed a contract until 2025 at Sunderland but was loaned out to League Two side AFC Wimbledon in the summer. The 25-year-old goalkeeper has started every league game for The Dons, keeping five clean sheets for a side who sit fourth in the table. Photo: DANIEL LEAL
