There were several changes at Sunderland over the summer transfer window - but how have those who left the club fared since leaving Wearside?
The Black Cats saw a handful of loan players return to their parent clubs, while decisions were made to let other members of the squad leave on permanent deals.
Loan departures were also sanctioned to try and provide more first-team opportunities.
Here are the players who left Sunderland over the summer, either permanently or on loan, and how they’ve fared since.

5. Leon Dajaku (Hajduk Split)
Following a disappointing loan spell at Swiss side St Gallen last season, Dajkau was sold to Croatian top-flight club Hajduk Split. The 22-year-old has only started one league game for his new team but has scored twice after coming off the bench in his seven appearances. Photo: Frank Reid

6. Joe Gelhardt (Leeds)
Despite Leeds’ relegation to the Championship, Gelhardt remains on the fringes of Daniel Farke’s squad. The 21-year-old has been an unused substitute for Leeds’ last five league games, after starting just two Championship matches earlier in the campaign. Photo: George Wood

7. Elliot Embleton (Derby)
Derby boss Paul Warne said Embleton was left heartbroken after suffering a severe thigh injury during his loan spell with The Rams. The 24-year-old has returned to Sunderland for treatment, with Derby still set to make a contribution to Embleton’s wages this season. Photo: Frank Reid

8. Edouard Michut (Adana Demirspor)
After it was decided Sunderland wouldn’t trigger their option to buy Michut at the end of last season, the French midfielder, 20, finally left PSG to join Turkish top-flight club Adana Demirspor on loan last month. Michut is yet to make an appearance for his new team. Photo: Frank Reid
