A new signing
Let’s start with some transfer news.
Goalkeeper Jack McIntyre, 18, has signed a one-year deal at Sunderland and he will link up with the under-23 squad after a successful trial period.
The teenager arrives from Everton following the expiration of his contract at Goodison Park.
After signing terms on Wearside, McIntyre said: “Sunderland is a massive club and I’m delighted to be here. The players, staff and everyone around the place have made me feel very welcome and I can’t wait to get going now.”
Sunderland Under-23s boss Elliott Dickman added: “Jack has been on trial for a number of weeks, and we’ve been pleased with him. He’s going to add some quality to our group, and hopefully he’ll be in and around the first team in a training role.”
