It was a frustrating evening for the Black Cats and caretaker manager Andrew Taylor as Charles Vernam’s second-half strike looked to have proved the difference – before Max Power’s late leveller.
But did anyone impress in the draw, or was it low marks all around? Scroll down and click through the pages to see how Phil Smith rated the displays on show in the 1-1 stalemate:
9. Max Power
Looked a threat when given more licence to get forward in the closing stages. Made a good run into the box for the equaliser and the header was excellent. 6 Photo: Frank Reid
10. Elliot Embleton
One or two bright touches early on but had a frustrating night for the most part. Needs better movement and more pace in front of him if the Black Cats are to make the most of his talent. 5 Photo: FRANK REID 2020
11. Charlie Wyke
An early injury meant that he was never able to get into the contest in a meaningful way. Replaced by Danny Graham a quarter of the way into the contest. 6 Photo: FRANK REID 2020
12. Danny Graham
Missed a good chance to level the scores in the second half. Had little sight of goal elsewhere in what was an underwhelming performance from the bench. 4 Photo: Frank Reid
