Sunderland are reportedly considering changing their head coach - with several candidates on their radar.
Black Cats boss Tony Mowbray admitted his future at the club is uncertain following Tuesday’s play-off defeat against Luton Town, amid claims Italian coach Francesco Farioli has been lined up for the job.

‘Let’s wait and see. Do I want to be here next season? I do, yes. But let’s wait and see how it goes, and what the summer brings.
“I don’t know what will happen next. I’ll just get on with it. I’ve got a contract so I’ll just keep going. I only mention that off the speculation off recent weeks. Let’s wait and see.
Talksport have since reported Mowbray is fighting to save his job at the Stadium of Light, with Salzburg boss Matthias Jaissle, Farioli and New York Red Bulls head coach Gerhard Stuber among the contenders to replace him.

Like many clubs, Sunderland do have a succession plan in place for their head coaching role, which helped them appoint Mowbray less than a week after Alex Neil’s abrupt departure.
Mowbray replaced Neil at the Stadium of Light at the end of August before guiding the club into the play-offs despite several injury setbacks.
