Juan Sartori provides Sunderland AFC with financial boost - and is set for Wearside return
Charlie Methven has confirmed that the Uruguayan is set to take a more active role at the Stadium of Light from December onwards, having taken a back seat in recent months to focus on his political career.
Sartori, who narrowly failed in a bid to become the National Party’s presidential candidate, was recently elected as a Uruguayan senator.

Hide AdBut while that duty will take up some of his time, the 38-year-old is set to become far more involved on Wearside.


“Juan Sartori put a large chunk of money into the club in September,” explained Methven, speaking at a club talk-in at the Stadium of Light.
“He’s been elected as a senator, which will take up about one week a month of his time.
“But from December, he’ll be here a lot more often.”
