16 clubs must vote for the plans for them to be passed, with a number of sides having already pinned their colours to the mast while making their voting intentions clear.
But could it be a closer result than expected? We take a look at how every club could vote:
9. Fleetwood Town
Fleetwood owner Andy Pilley has called for the introduction of wage caps and believes that clubs should 'look after the integrity of the competition'. PREDICTED VOTE: YES TO THE SALARY CAP Photo: Alex Livesey
10. Gillingham
Owner Paul Scally previously said he would only be in favour of salary caps if all three divisions in the EFL adopted them - which is yet to be confirmed. PREDICTED VOTE: ON THE FENCE Photo: Jack Thomas
11. Hull City
The Tigers' spending power is not thought to have been majorly affected by their relegation, meaning a salary cap could restrict their hopes of an immediate return to the Championship. PREDICTED VOTE: NO TO THE SALARY CAP Photo: Alex Pantling
12. Ipswich Town
The Tractor Boys have already confirmed that they are not in favour of the plans. PREDICTED VOTE: NO TO THE SALARY CAP Photo: Stephen Pond
