West Brom speak to ex-Chelsea coach
It’s been over a week since West Brom parted company with former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce, with the Baggies yet to appoint his successor.

Hide AdFormer Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal remains the bookmakers’ favourite ahead of West Brom’s trip to Luton, while it’s also being reported the club have spoken to former Chelsea coach Jody Morris.
TalkSport’s Alex Crook has tweeted that Morris ‘feels he would be a perfect fit’ but is one of a big number of candidates the club have spoken to.
Morris was linked with the Sunderland job before the Black Cats appointed Alex Neil earlier this year.
Middlesbrough expected to appoint Michael Carrick
Elsewhere Middlesbrough are expected to appoint former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick as their new head coach – yet caretaker boss Leo Percovich will oversee this weekend’s match against Huddersfield.

Hide AdIt’s been widely reported that Carrick is set take over at the Riverside, yet final details around the make-up of his backroom staff are still being finalised.
Carrick’s first match would come next weekend when Boro travel to Preston.
Steve Davis to stay in charge at Wolves
Finally, Premier League side Wolves have announced that caretaker boss Steve Davis will remain in charge of the first-team until 2023.
Wolves had been looking for a new head coach after sacking Bruno Lage at the start of this month, and had approached QPR boss Michael Beale about the role.

Hide AdBeale has since rejected the offer, with Rangers sitting top of the Championship after 15 games and Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Cardiff.
Davis will continue to be assisted by James Collins and Tony Roberts at Wolves until after the World Cup break.
