Northern League: Home form key for Park View as Seaham Red Star lie in wait
There is a limited schedule of fixtures across both divisions of the Ebac Northern League this weekend.
Park View head of football John Gamble wants his young players to make the most of home comforts when they host Division Two rivals Seaham Red Star on Saturday.
Gamble’s side are currently sitting firmly in mid-table in the Northern League’s second tier after winning four of their first 11 games of the league season. However, a big midweek win in a Durham Challenge Cup tie against Wearside League club Sunderland West End showed the unquestionable potential within the Park View ranks and raised hopes of an upturn in fortunes.

Their meeting with Red Star is the second of four consecutive home league games - and Gamble wants his players to continue impressing on their home patch.
Speaking after that win, he told the club website: “What do I expect against Seaham Red Star? I hope the same but I think that dealing with young players like we are, sometimes you never get that consistency and that’s why we are like that. It seems as if we are better during the week than we are on a Saturday but there is a lot of good work going on to get that playing surface as good as what we want it and it shows if we have got a good surface, we are a good route to watch. I think if you watched us from start to finish, we were on top all of the time and we are delighted.”
