Newcastle United takeover twist plus winger linked
Henry Mauriss and the Clear TV bid to buy Newcastle United has reportedly gathered some pace.
While scepticism reigns supreme on Tyneside towards the American businessman and his mystery business, the Telegraph report a "sales purchase agreement" has been drawn up ahead of the deal progressing.
It is not known whether Mauriss has sufficient funds to complete the purchase, or would simply be a front man for another investor.
Meanwhile, United’s new second and third kits have been leaked online – with the change being a fluorescent yellow design and the third a triangular purple make up.
And elsewhere, the Magpies have been linked with a summer move for £30 million-rated Harry Wilson, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth from Liverpool.
United are thought to be looking in the market for free transfers and loan targets this summer. Leeds United are also said to be keen.
