1. Summer fair

Space was the theme when the Brownies of Sunderland South Division held their annual Brownie Revels at Hendon Hill Playing Fields. Here are Nina Erevik, left, Victoria Watson, centre, and Joanne Gilbertson having fun with plenty of bounce included.They were among many Brownies who turned up in space themed costumes.

What a tremendous fundraising effort it was by the pupils of form 3D2 at Thornhill School in 1983. Thirty of them held a sponsored skip to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund and they raised £72.

So many different outfit! These children were dressed up for the Seaham Eastlea Community Centre playgroups Mother and Toddler group open day 36 years ago.
