‘Three Blind Mice has never helped me in my life’

We all had our favourite lessons - and the ones we dreaded or at least thought were pointless.

But when we asked the members of Wearside Echoes to come up with their choices of pointless school topics, we were not prepared for the huge response.

You had plenty of comments including one person who said: “Playing the recorder. Three Blind Mice has never helped me in my life.”

Another follower said music classes and told us the only musical ability he left school with was that of bashing two halves of a coconut together.

Others suggested embroidery, art, cross country running and vaulting the wooden horse.

But why not judge for yourself and have a look through our list of the classes you thought were the most pointless.
