5. Off to Camel Island
Dennis Hern and Ian Stewart were off to Camel Island near Marsden in 1985. The sponsored 24 hour stay was in aid of the Sunderland lifeboat appeal.
Anthony Usher and Shirley Herbertson, from Asda, were pictured during a 24-hour radio broadcast at the Leechmere store.
The charity hospital radio broadcast was held in 2005.
