As we head into the evening, forecasters are predicting the weather to turn overcast however no showers are expected.
Saturday, April 10
A cold start to Saturday with temperatures forecast to be barely above 0°C however it should remain dry.
As we head through mid-morning and into the early afternoon, Wearside should experience some sunny spells and highs of 5°C.
Sunday, April 11
Met Office forecasters are predicting another dry day for Sunday, with sunny spells expected throughout.
Temperatures are set to be around the 6°C mark however it will feel colder, especially during the early morning and as we head into the evening.
