Hundreds of tributes have been paid to Fiona Anderson, who worked as a community nurse at Grindon Lane Primary Care Centre as part of the city’s Sunderland West team.

She died on Sunday, April 26 after testing positive for coronavirus.

Sister Sarah Anderson spoke of her family’s pride in Fiona’s hard work, remembering her as someone who cared for those in need and ‘died doing what she loved’.
