Stealing £650 of aftershave from Debenhams and other Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were dealt with at South Northumbria Magistrates’ Court, which sits at both Sunderland and South Shields, recently:

Nasser Ghods, 45, of Southwick Road, Sunderland, was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £120 fine and £32 victim surcharge after admitting driving without insurance on September 24 last year.

Ian Jason Bland, 27, of Tatham Street, Sunderland, received a 16-week jail term, which was suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to pay £749.95 in compensation, a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs after he admitted two counts of stealing £650 in total of aftershave from Debenhams and two counts of stealing £99.95 in total of items from Superdry between August 31-October 13.

Scott Campion, 21, of Partick Road, Sunderland, was ordered to pay a £40 fine, £85 compensation, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting causing criminal damage to a photo frame and door on November 15.

Aaron Preston Richardson, 31, of Ridley Terrace, Hendon, Sunderland, received an eight-week jail term, which was suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay £55 compensation after admitting dishonestly receiving a stolen bank card and fraud by false representation on June 19, stealing £55 of plants from Home Bargains on July 21, attempted theft and vehicle interference on November 5.

Bradley Finn, 22, whose address was given as HMP Northumberland, was banned from driving for 12 months and received an absolute discharge after admitting drug driving in Sunderland on July 1.

Andrea Armstrong Webb, 51, of Lunesdale Street, Hetton, received three penalty points on her driving licence, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge after admitting speeding at 46 miles per hour through 40 miles per hour roadworks near Testo’s Roundabout on January 17.

George William Waters, 35, of Victory Street, Sunderland, was ordered to pay £242 compensation and £85 costs after admitting stealing £200 of chocolates from Poundland on March 25 and March 30 and £42 of confectionary from Poundland on April 1.
