Power has been restored to hundreds of Sunderland homes.
More than 1,400 properties in Sunderland have had their power restored this morning.
Northern Powergrid said the homes in the SR2 and SR4 postcode areas were affected by the powercut, caused by an unexpected problem with an electricity cable, which was reported at 10.15pm last night.
Staff worked through the night to restore the power and it was back on at 11.06am.
