Mickey's Place on drive for new venture to help more people during covid - here's how you can help
Now volunteers are hoping to raise £1,000 for a Mickey’s Place van to make deliveries and collections more efficient.

Hide AdVolunteer Ruth Bell said the van would make a huge difference to the community hub and mean they can better support those who need their help, while also helping reduce the team’s carbon footprint.
She said: “It has been busier than ever during this second lockdown with a lot of people remaining furloughed.
"We’re still continuing to give out about 70 meals a day and a van would really help us better support the community and reduce our carbon footprint too.”
Mickey’s Place, based at St Michael's Church in Sulgrave, opened at the beginning of May 2020 after organisers saw how many people were struggling during the coronavirus lockdown.

Hide AdSince then, a group of volunteers have been feeding vulnerable residents and offering support to people struggling in the community.
During the height of the first national lockdown, volunteers were feeding over 150 people a day as it supported the community through the first wave of the pandemic.
