"I hope and pray as a nation we can unite and send out a strong message that there is simply no place in society for knives or violence it won’t be tolerated as the justice system has already shown for Jack and all those sadly taken."

Zoey, who has been campaigning to make the streets safer following her son’s death, is set to hold a vigil for anyone wishing to light a candle in memory of Jack on the final day of the feast on Sunday, October 16, on Newbottle Street, where he was attacked.

The family will also lay flowers and hold a two minute silence at 9.10pm which will be followed by a balloon release.

She added: "I will continue to be their voice in desperate hope during this different kind of pandemic. Carry respect for life, not a knife."
