Run for Brad is taking place on Sunday, March 29 at Herrington Country Park – and now the Foundation has announced that a limited number of places are up for grabs to other charities and non-profit organisations.

The team is offering this as a thank you for the support Bradley, who died from neuroblastoma cancer when he was six, received during his short life and as a way to give back to good causes which helped his family and friends.

Entrants to the run can choose one mile, 5km or 10km courses.

Gemma Lowery, founder of the Bradley Lowery Foundation, and Bradley’s mum said: “Cancer can be a lonely illness for patients and their families.

“We were overwhelmed and helped enormously by the kindness of charities, non-profit organisations, and individuals who were touched by Bradley’s story.

“We’ve had a great response already to the Run for Brad event, and we hope that this will encourage even more people to get their running shoes on and raise some money for lots of really worthy causes.”

The Bradley Lowery Foundation was founded two years after the football fan’s passing on July 7, 2017 with the aim of helping other poorly children with life-limiting conditions.
