Men helped into care of police after concerns for his safety on River Wear near Stadium of Light

A man was taken into the care of police after concerns were raised for his welfare while he was close to the banks of the River Wear.

Sunderland Coastguard Rescue Team and Sunderland’s RNLI volunteers were called to support Northumbria Police following reports voicing concern about the man as he was on the riverside, close to the Stadium of Light.
