Herringtons, Farringdon and Lakeside - Down Your Way

The Music Makers Ladies' Choir is busy rehearsing for a choral spectacular at The Sage, Gateshead, on Saturday, April 9. The event marks the visit of the board of The National Association of Choirs, who are holding their AGM in Newcastle. The ladies will be joined by other ladies' choirs from across the region and also male and mixed voice choirs will participate. After this event the ladies will start rehearsing a new repertoire, which will be performed at their annual charity concert in St Chad's Church on Saturday, July 16.

Herrington WI will be meeting on Tuesday, April 5, at 7pm in St Chad’s Church hall. The guest will be Margaret Carter, who will be demonstrating her marvellous sugarcraft skills. As ever, both old and new members will be made most welcome.

Farringdon Inspires Academy Primary School Karate Club sent some of its students to a martial arts competiton. The team came home with a number of trophies. The karate club meets in the sports hall on Fridays from 3.30pm-4.30pm. Paula, instrutor, would welcome new members. For more details, call 07906 441778.
