The herd has returned to its summer grazing in West Park. The cattle have been a sight in Herrington for generations. Dog walkers who use the grazing section in winter are advised to use other parts of the park while the young bullocks are in residency. The wild rabbits on Herrington Hill have descended and colonised West Herrington cemetery and the fields running along the B1286. They appear in their vast numbers to co-exist with the horses. The A19 appears to be a barrier to their eastward expansion into Middle Herrington unless they discover the Bridle track bridge over the road.
