Grindon - Down Your Way
A coffee morning in aid of Christian Aid will be held on Saturday at St Oswald's Communicare Centre between 10am and noon. Refreshments are £2 and there will be a raffle and bingo.
Grindon Church Community Project, in Galway Road, welcomes new people to join its band of volunteers who do gardening, DIY and office work throughout the week. You are assured of a friendly welcome, lunch, work experience and most of all, friendship. Former volunteers have got jobs using the experience and confidence they gained at the project. Little Starz Mother and Toddler group meets in Grindon Church Community Project, in Galway Road, on Thursdays from 9.30am. Qualified leaders, lots of fun activities, new members are welcome.
