Washington man appears in court charged with assault and making threats following stabbing
A man has been remanded by a court after he faced two charges following an alleged stabbing in Washington at the weekend.
He is charged with unlawful malicious wounding and making threats.
The bench remanded him in custody and adjourned the case until Monday, April 12, when it will go before Newcastle Crown Court.
Police were alerted to an injured 20-year-old man in Tyne Gardens at around 9.30am on Saturday, March 13, after a North East Ambulance Service crew found him while attending a call out to a private address.
He was taken to hospital for further treatment, but his injury is not believed to be life threatening.
