A number of healthy trees in Blakeney Woods have been torched by teenagers carrying out anti-social behaviour.

Now firefighters have issued another warning over the dangers of arson, reminding that fires can quickly spread – putting those setting the fires in danger – as well as fire crews and the public.

The service is asking parents to make sure they know where their children are.

Further details of the attack have not been revealed, but Farringdon Green Watch Crew Manager Steven Burns said: “This irresponsible behaviour has the potential to put members of the public and firefighters at risk.”
