Possessing cocaine, assault and other recent Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court recently:

Zac Andrew Sinclair, 28, of Cragdale Gardens, Hetton, was banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay a £300 fine, £30 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on January 15.

James Robson, 22, of Richmond, Ryhope, Sunderland, received a 16-week jail term, which was suspended for 18 months, was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and to pay £429 compensation after admitting causing criminal damage and to assaulting a detention officer on September 21.

Sayed Ahmed, 26, of Laura Street, Sunderland, was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £200 fine, £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting failing to stop when required to do so, driving without insurance and without a valid licence on January 5.

Michael Thomas Hilton, 38, of Barnabas Way, Sunderland, was placed on a community order and ordered to pay £150 compensation, a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting assault on September 18.

Marc Karl Di Carlo, 39, of Chatterton Street, Sunderland, was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting possessing cocaine on December 22.

Barry Martin, 39, of Roche Court, Glebe, Washington, was banned from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay a £185 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving, driving without a valid licence and without insurance on January 21.

Martin Andrew Hoggarth, 32, of Cairo Street, Hendon, Sunderland, received an absolute discharge after admitting being drunk and disorderly on January 21.
