Northumbria Police have launched an investigation after cash and other items were stolen from a property in a Ryhope Street.

Police investigating the incident believe that at some point between 7.30am and 5.15pm, offenders had gained access to the property where they stole cash and other items before fleeing the scene.

Police are investigating a burglary at a property on St. Patrick's Terrace in Ryhope.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 6.20pm yesterday (Monday) we received a report of burglary at an address on St Patrick's Terrace, Ryhope.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact us using the Tell us Something page on our website quoting log 944 290321.”
