Billy Charlton to appear before Sunderland magistrates next month on indecent image charges after case adjourned

A man accused of possessing, making and distributing indecent images has had his initial court appearance in Sunderland delayed.

William Bernard Charlton, whose address is listed on court documents as Morpeth, Northumberland, was due to make a first appearance at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 19 charged with a number of offences.

Charlton, who is 55, faces four charges.

They are; possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying a person involved in a sexual act with a dog, possessing an extreme pornographic image showing an act which could seriously injure a person, distributing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child and a donkey engaging in a sexual act and making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between June 2018 and June 2019 in Washington.
