Assault and drink driving - the latest Sunderland court cases before magistrates

The following cases from the Sunderland area were dealt with recently at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Grant Bishop, 53, of Harperley Drive, Tunstall, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 26 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on October 31.

Lee Gerald Fenbow, 30, of Norton Road, Southwick, Sunderland, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting being drunk in charge of a child and resisting a police officer in the execution of their duty on October 30.

Levi Musgrave, 24, of Benton Avenue, Town End Farm, Sunderland, was fined £60 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting assault on October 7 and October 31.

Christopher McGrory, 49, of Florian Mews, Grindon, Sunderland, received a 12-week jail term, which was suspended for 18 months, was banned from driving for 35 months and was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on October 31.

Stanley Dodds, 55, of no fixed address, received an eight-week jail term, which was suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge after admitting breaching a restraining order on November 28.

Aaron Preston Richardson, 31, of Ridley Terrace, Sunderland, received a four-week jail term, which was suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to pay £245 compensation and a £128 victim surcharge after admitting handling stolen goods on October 9 and fraud by false representation on November 29.

Keith Ventress, 50, of Poplar Avenue, Whitburn, was banned from driving for 19 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on October 25.
