Here are 25 people jailed or given suspended sentences for offences committed in and around Sunderland during June.
They all appeared at Newcastle Crown Court unless otherwise stated.
17. Josh Creasey
Creasy, 25, of Quarry Street, New Silksworth, pleaded guilty to two burglaries, assault by beating of an emergency worker and causing criminal damage at South Tyneside Magistrates Court. Judge Passfield jailed him for 26 weeks for assault, 52 weeks for each burglary and 28 days for criminal damage, all suspended and to run concurrently. Creasy, must complete 35 rehabilitation days and the Thinking Skills programme, do 100 hours of unpaid work and pay compensation of £100 to the police officer and both burglary victims. 18. Lloyd Hepurker
Hepurker, 34, of Hazeldene Avenue, Newcastle, admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving in Sunderland. Judge Julie Clemitson sentenced him to 20 months behind bars with a three years and ten months driving ban. Photo: NOP
19. Daniel Watson
Watson, 31, of Keswick Avenue, Fulwell, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to stop, possession of cocaine and possession of diazepam. Magistrates in South Tyneside jailed him for 12 weeks but suspended the sentence for 18 months. Watson must also complete 32 rehabilitation days and complete 100 hours of unpaid work, and was banned from driving for two years. Photo: NOP
20. Jason Dixon
Dixon, 32, of Coach Road Estate, Washington, was jailed for ten weeks and banned from driving for four years and five weeks at South Tyneside Magistrtatres Court after admitting driving with excess alcohol. Photo: NOP
