As well as tributes in the city centre, a condolence book has been opened at Tesco in Roker.
A donation box has also been left next to book in the Sunderland supermarket.
A fund set up in honour of the teenager, from Farringdon, has raised more than 18,000 for the teen's family.
More than 800 people have made donations to the fund, including Jordan Henderson and Charlotte Crosby.
