1. Summer fair

Space was the theme when the Brownies of Sunderland South Division held their annual Brownie Revels at Hendon Hill Playing Fields. What a tremendous fundraising effort it was by the pupils of form 3D2 at Thornhill School in 1983. Thirty of them held a sponsored skip to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund and they raised £72.
