Your tributes to five-year-old Sunderland girl Isla Wilkinson who passed away in mum’s arms
Isla, a Farringdon Primary School pupil from Plains Farm, was given just hours to live as her mum held her in her arms on Friday, December 6.
She tragically took ill on Tuesday, December 3 with a temperature and a cough.

Hide AdShe then sadly had difficulty breathing and her heart stopped for 20 minutes before she was resuscitated.
On the morning of Thursday, December 5, her brain started to swell as she was in the care of Newcastle’s RVI nurses and her family.
Tragically, Isla passed away at around 5pm on Friday, December 6 in the children’s intensive care unit.
Since hearing the heartbreaking news, hundreds of tributes have flooded in from Echo readers.

A Go Fund Me Page was set up by her family members when Isla became ill to help Alex organise the send-off her “beautiful princess” deserves.
