Sunderland recruitment firm Adkins & Cheurfi celebrates 10 'fantastic' years in business

Sunderland recruitment firm Adkins & Cheurfi has announced ambitious growth plans as it celebrates its 10th year in business.
The firm, which was set up by Dean Adkins and Melika Cheurfi in 2016, specialises in hospitality, legal and commercial recruitment.
The company now has 11 employees working with clients across the North of England and Scotland.
It now hopes to build on this success by further establishing themselves in the legal and commercial markets and expanding their presence in the northern England and Scotland.
Melika said: “Initially, our focus was solely on hospitality, but as the team has grown and we’ve brought in additional expertise, we’ve gone on to establish ourselves in the legal and commercial sectors too, which has really opened up doors for the business.
“Looking ahead, the aim is to continue building our presence in those new markets while also increasing our footprint in the North West, Yorkshire and Scotland where we’ve made great progress recently. It’s a really exciting time for the business.”
Adkins & Cheurfi has been based at the North East BIC in Southwick from day one.
Originally operating from a small office, the company’s growth has seen it relocate to larger premises five times.
Dean believes the flexibility offered by the BIC has been key to helping the company grow sustainably.
He said: “The BIC has been fantastic to us ever since we set up the business.
“Whenever we’ve needed to grow and bring in more staff, we have been able to almost immediately move into a larger space without the upheaval of everything that comes with moving premises.
“It has been a fantastic home for the business and we can’t thank the BIC team enough for all of their support over the years.”
