The UK’s largest independent travel agent is set to create 200 new posts at the company’s Sunderland head office as well as an apprentice at every Hays Travel store and 500 jobs handling foreign currency across the branches.

Web Developer: You will be responsible for the development of existing and future products, focusing on innovating and commercialising new concepts and providing technical support for existing and new products.

Senior Business Travel Consultant: This role will involve working on a number of high profile accounts using Hays’ GDS, Gaileo, as well as other travel booking and back office systems. You will be required to support junior members of staff and senior managers to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients.

Contact Centre Email Team: Working as part of Hays’ Digital Sales team, you will have direct access to engage with our online customers who have submitted an email enquiry. You will offer exceptional customer service, making each customer feel special whilst also maintaining focus on your individual sales target.

Contact Centre Social Media Sales Consultant: You will get the opportunity to fulfil customer enquires generated by our amazing Social Media deals. You will showcase exceptional customer service using both your own personality and Hays’ company ethos to provide customers with a unique and hassle free booking experience.

Contact Centre Live Chat Team: Working as part of Hays’ Digital Sales team, you will have direct access to engage with customers online, countless sales leads through Hays’ Live Chat system.

Agent Support Clerk: Agent Support is an operational team which receives incoming calls from agents, overseas suppliers, customers needing assistance in resort and other head office teams.

HTOL Customer Relations Clerk: The HTOL customer relations department is here to resolve all customer complaints satisfactorily ensuring that the customers continue to have a positive opinion of Hays Tour Operating and Hays Products.

Flights Reservations Assistant: In this role you will provide flight itineraries to a variety of customers. You will use your product knowledge and provide excellent customer service to organise air travel arrangements.

Customer Relations Clerk: The Customer Relations Department is here to resolve all customer complaints satisfactorily ensuring that the customers continue to have a positive opinion of Hays Travel. The team also aims to ensure that the customer would continue to book with Hays Travel and recommend the company to others.

Worldwide Sales Consultant: Dealing Hays’ agents the sales team focus on selling tailor made holidays and delivering first class customer service.

Cruise Sales Consultant: Dealing with Hays’ agents the sales team focus on selling tailor made holidays and delivering first class customer service

Short Haul Sales Consultant: Dealing with Hays’ agents the sales team focus on selling tailor made holidays and delivering first class customer service.

Live Chat Advisor: Handling high volume of incoming chats, dealing with general booking queries and converting existing enquiries into confirmed bookings and repricing existing product offers.

Administrator within Internal Audit: The role is an integral part of the existing Exceptions and Audit team and will involve reviewing transactions within Hays’ selling systems and assisting the Audit Team Supervisor and or Manager in analysing and reporting their findings.

Purchase Ledger Clerk: Job responsibilities include continuously deliver the highest level of satisfaction and customer service to both internal and external contacts, match invoices to purchase orders and carry out detailed checking of documentation/invoices.

Foreign Exchange Administrator: Foreign Currency is offered in all Hays Travel retail branches, a selection of Independence Group members and a selection of other travel agencies throughout the UK. The Foreign Exchange Helpdesk provides telephone support to all branches in relation to the day-to-day running of the foreign exchange bureau.

Cruise Commercial Assistant: The aim of this role is to pro-actively manage and develop existing/new supplier relationships to increase sales levels as well as identifying product.

Cruise Product and Commercial Assistant: To support the Cruise Commercial Manager in ensuring a competitive product offering that is effectively marketed.

Worldwide Sales Executive Australia and New Zealand: Dealing directly with Hays’ agents and Australia and New Zealand sales team focus on selling tailor-made holidays and delivering first class customer service.

Agent Support Clerk Evening and weekends: In this role you will handle high volumes of incoming calls, emails and live chat enquiries, ensuring exceptional service, efficiency and accuracy at all times whilst striving to hit team’s KPI’s.

Reconciliation Clerk: Key areas involve reconciling supplier statements ensure that targets and deadline are met in line with supplier commercial agreements, ensure that queries are resolved to a high standard and KPI are met.

Management Graduate: The programme will see you working in key business areas to suit your skills and the needs of the business. You will be given the opportunity to acquire technical expertise whilst contributing to the operational delivery of the department.

Business Travel Sales Manager: The primary focus of the role will be to identify new business travel sales opportunities, generating a pipeline and converting sales to bring new customers.
