The Seaham windfall follows just a day after four residents in Curlew Close, Oxclose, Washington, all received an identical sum.

Five people in Wolseley Terrace, off Chester Road, Sunderland, also received £1,000 each in a daily draw last week.

The latest draw was promoted by the Save the Children charity, which has received more than £10.1 million in funding from the lottery.
