Just days ago, five neighbours in Wolseley Terrace, off Chester Road, Sunderland, pocketed £1,000 individually after their postcode was pulled out of the People’s Postcode Lottery daily draw.

Now four residents living in Washington are to receive an identical sum each after their NE38 0EH postcode was chosen in the Monday, August 24, draw.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent the four neighbours in Curlew Close, Oxclose, her congratulations and added: “What great news for them and I hope they go and treat themselves with their winnings.”
