Here is every shop which has reopened in Sunderland's Bridges - and what is due to soon

The Bridges in Sunderland has been open throughout the lockdown, with its essential stores still keeping people stocked up with much-needed items.

But the remainder of its 80-plus have started to welcome back shoppers after the Government began to ease the lockdown aimed at reducing the spread of the coronavirus.

Customers have been asked to follow a host of rules to keep workers and other shoppers safe, with social distancing signs in place around the centre, a one-in-one-out system in place in the toilets, which have also been opened once again, while doors have been marked up with entrance and exit signs.

Hand sanitiser stations have also been installed, with shops also setting up their own.

Those which have been open during the lockdown are Virgin Money, Halifax, HSBC, Boots, Superdrug, Iceland, Savers, Tesco and Bargain Buys.
